Blakeney:

A lovely Norfolk village  with a long quay and a good range of shops and galleries to while away the time. You can walk East or West along the North Norfolk Coast Path and through the marshlands from the centre of town. The best place to park is the National Trust Car Park, though you don’t have to be a member to use it. For dog walkers, there’s a great café, Muddy Paws, right by the car-park entrance where the artist owner will keep you amused with his witty repartee. Close by you will find Wiverton Hall, recently  featured in the BBC series Normal For Norfolk, which tracks the travails of gentleman farmer Desmond McCarthy as he struggles to keep the family estate  afloat whilst holding on to the country traditions of his childhood. Wiverton has a fabulous café/restaurant but booking a table for lunch is essential.
