Thornham Beach and Marshes:
A beautiful sandy beach stretching as far as the eye can see, Thornham Beach is a hidden gem that the summer crowds tend to miss. To reach it, there’s a 20 minute walk along the embankment that skirts the marshes, providing ample opportunity for a spot of bird-watching along the way. Park in the old harbour where you’ll find The Coal Barn, allegedly the most photographed and sketched barn in Britain. Afterwards slip into The Lifeboat on Ship Lane for some well earned sustenance or visit Eric’s at The Drove for what have often been called the best Fish & Chips in Britain.
