As the days start to lengthen and Christmas is a fading memory, time to plan a Spring break to beat those winter blues. There’s a host of things to do in this neck of the woods whatever the weather throws at you. Holkham Hall is having its Attic Sale on 11th February and offers a chance to buy a piece of history – Sworders Fine Art Auctioneers are putting over 400 treasures that have resided in the storerooms, attics, and cellars of this renowned Palladian estate under the hammer and whilst some of the lots have eye-watering guide prices, others are more affordable. For details see the Holkham Hall website here And then of course there are the amazing beaches in these parts – not exactly sunbathing weather yet but perfect for an invigorating dog walk to clear the cobwebs.
If that’s not enough to tempt you the gardens at Sandringham are open from the beginning of February (see here for more info) and our all-time Spring favourite are the snowdrop walks at Walsingham Priory. A sight for sore eyes and open from 10am-4pm from Monday 27th January to Sunday 2nd March. More details here.
To make a break of it, we have availability for short breaks and weekly bookings in both of our delightful holiday cottages throughout the Spring months. You’ll find full details on The Dairy and The Cart Lodge including prices and availability by following the links here, but if you have any questions or exceptional needs then don’t hesitate to get in touch and we’ll do our best to help. We hope we can tempt you with a stay here at West Heath Barn in 2025 – you’ll find wonderful peace and tranquillity but in close proximity to the very best that North Norfolk to offer.
